1. Wingding Family Fest

Enjoy "Amazing Bird Chases" (bird walks) designed to engage beginning bird watchers and advanced folks alike. Learn to geocache and explore the trails in search of bird-themed caches with the help of a GPS device and knowledgeable volunteers. Dissect an owl pellet and learn what these nocturnal creatures eat. Meet the live birds of Mickaboo and MickaCoo rescue organizations.  Make your own bird band bracelet with the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory, origami cranes to celebrate Asian-Pacific Heritage Month, popsicle stick dragonflies and bird and butterfly masks. 

2. Taiwanese American Cultural Festival 2014

Folk songs and dances by children, music and exhibits. learn more about Taiwan’s history and Taiwanese Americans in the Bay Area, as well as enjoy Taiwanese delicacies. On the stage, there will be performances presented by the Dance Department of the National Taiwan University of Arts and local Taiwanese American musicians, including the alternative rock band, Johnny Hi-Fi and more.

3. "Almost" mother's day kids concert

Have at blast at the “Almost” Mother’s Day Concert, featuring Andy Z & the Andyland Band! Families will enjoy a super fun kid's concert, an inflatable playland, and can also create a Mother's Day Gift in the craft area.

Come to the Expo Hall of the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds and shop to your heart's delight for all kinds of items for your kids. 5. Family Bird Walk (ages 5-10)

Let family walks become a shared time of nature learning. We’ll begin by helping kids create their personal bird watching field guides, and then head out onto the trails to find those birds. A limited number of binoculars are available to borrow. Recommended for children ages 5-10. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. 2. Free Day for Moms & Grandmas at Aquarium of the Bay

In celebration of Mother’s Day, Aquarium of the Bay will offer free admission to moms and grandmas all day.

3. 15 Free Guided Walking Tours
Although the tour itself is free, the afternoon Japanese Tea Garden tour may require separate admission charge to the gardens. Japanese Tea Garden Admission Fee: – Mon, Wed, Fri: FREE admission if entered by 10 am – Otherwise Adult: $5.00 (Residents), $7.00 (Non-Residents)

Stanford Powwow! Mother's Day Weekend

The Powwow is a celebration of Native cultures through traditional songs, dances and events. An attendance of over 25,000 is expected, making it the largest student-run powwow in the United States and one of the largest events of its kind on the West Coast.
