Asian American Heritage Future Roots Festival

The all-day outdoor festival will feature performances by API artists, including traditional and contemporary dance and music, as well as delectable tastings from gourmet food trucks, arts and crafts, free community health screenings, and multi-lingual booths.

Join docents Jan Hintermeister and Karen DeMello in exploring the wonderful and strange world of insects that taste with their feet and smell with their antennae. Learn to identify common butterfly species in their natural environment. Many facts and flutters await you on this easy 2.5-mile walk along the Zinfandel and Orchard Loop Trails! Bring binoculars if you have them

San Jose Taco Festival

The largest taco event in Northern California, the San Jose Taco Festival brings a variety of taco recipes from more than 35 of the best regional food trucks. All plates will be $5 or less.  Live music acts will perform throughout the day and a kids area will feature pinatas, balloon artists and face painters. Luche Libre (Mexican-style masked wrestling) wrestling events will also take place throughout the day.

Your kids will enjoy a wide variety of games, rides, and great kid’s entertainment on the MunchkinLand Stage, featuring local demonstrations, karaoke contest and Children’s acts. MunchkinLand is located between 2nd & 3rd Streets on Depot Street.

All entertainment, attractions and free art activities are included in the low price of admission. Additionally, there are over 20 rides (Zip line, Ferris wheel, pony rides, EuroBungy trampoline, Bobble Lagoon, Hamster Balls, petting zoo, giant slide and much more) and delicious food court for additional charges.
KidFest admission is only $6 per person with a can of food for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Or $7 without a canned food donation.  Babies under 24 months and Seniors 65+ are FREE.

The Festival features something for everyone: 9 separate event areas with 500 vendors showcase everything from community arts and crafts to health alternatives and technology while 4 performance stages feature a spectrum of music and dance. The Festival also features carnival rides, food and beverage vendors, and the signature event: a rubber duck race down the creek!
